Up until what age and weight can the Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier be used?
Our Baby Carrier is tested for quality and safety for carrying premature babies all the way up to toddlers 3-4 years of age (42 pounds).

Is the Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier safe?
Our Baby Carrier is tested for quality and safety under FHSA (Federal Hazardous Substances Act) and ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) guidelines. Every person who uses our Baby Carrier must read the instructions and warnings before using the Baby Ktan™ Baby Carrier.

How do I wash and dry my Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier?
The Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier is 100% cotton knit and machine washable and dryer safe. Please follow these simple washing instructions:
Machine wash cold, Wash with like colors only. Use only non-chlorine bleach when needed. Tumble dry low. Make sure to wash separately before first use.

Will my Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier shrink after washing?
The Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier is made of 100% cotton knit. Accordingly, the carrier may shrink slightly after washing. However, the cross stretch of the cotton fabric enables our carrier to conform close to its original size. For optimal fit, wash and tumble dry.

What size Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier should I buy?
Please see our sizing instructions. However, if there is a size difference between users we recommend purchasing two carriers. If you are in-between sizes, we recommend you choose the smaller size.

Is the Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier adjustable?
Our carrier is available in sizes XS, S, M, L and XL. We have designed our Baby Carrier to ensure the safety and comfort of both parent and baby. The Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier has NO buckles, rings, snaps, metal or plastic hoops that could potentially come undone. When the correct size carrier is purchased, our Baby Carrier is structured to fit the wearer in a secure and comfortable fashion. Therefore, no adjusting is necessary. To get a tighter fit, wash and tumble dry.

Why is the Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier comfortable and supportive for my back?
Unlike most slings which concentrate your baby’s weight load on one shoulder, the Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier’s unique criss-cross design and sliding support band distributes your baby’s weight across both of your shoulders and back, providing much needed back support. The wide cross stretch cotton fabric can be spread over your shoulders to further distribute your baby’s weight. As your child grows older, he or she can be carried in the hip position, whereby your toddler’s weight is distributed on your hip, shoulder and back. Our unique design offers the wearer a 100% cotton carrier with NO buckles, snaps, rings or hardware, that would otherwise make baby wearing complicated and uncomfortable.

Can my partner and I wear the same carrier?
The Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier is offered in sizes XS, S, M, L and XL. Please refer to our sizing chart to determine if you and your partner can wear the same size carrier, or if it is beneficial for you to order two different size carriers. We strongly recommend that each user finds the right fit.

Can the Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier be used for premature babies?
Yes, it can. Premature babies enter the world with fragile , easily over-stimulated nervous systems. Parents attempt to find the proper balance to provide their baby with the sensory nourishment he or she requires for optimal development, while simultaneously avoiding over stimulation. Can I use my Baby K'tan Baby Carrier in a wheelchair?

I purchased my Baby K'tan from a retail location or a different online store, and I need to exchange or return my carrier, can this be done through the Baby K'tan site?
Customers that purchase their Baby K'tan through any retail or E-commerce store outside of the Baby K'tan website should direct their refund or exchange question to the respective entity where the carrier was purchased.

Can the Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier be used for babies and toddlers with special needs?
Yes, it can. It is well known that children with developmental delays and special needs benefit from the extra stimulation of being carried close to the wearer, especially during the infant stage. The Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier creates the ideal environment for development and growth. At the same time, it offers infants a tight swaddled, deep pressure input, providing security and assurance to infants with sensory integration dysfunction and other developmental disorders such as Autism and Cerebral Palsy. Studies have also shown the infants with hypotonia ( low muscle tone) are adversely
affected by baby carriers that place their legs in excessive abduction (legs spread too far apart). How long will it take until I receive my Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier?
