Baby K'tan embraces the CPSC warning. We believe that all parents and caregivers should be aware of the correct and safe way to wear their babies in slings and carriers. The Baby K'tan carrier's hybrid design enables the baby to be carried in a more upright and secure position. Please read and review all safety warnings and instructions prior to placing your baby in the Baby K'tan carrier. We recommend the following when wearing your child in the Baby K'tan: Place child chin up with face clearly visible and nose and mouth free of fabric. Check on the child often. If nursing in the Baby K'tan, change the baby's position after feeding so its head is facing up and clear of both the sling and the mother's body. Do not allow the sling to cover the baby's face. Do not carry the child too low in the sling. Do not carry the child hunched with its chin touching its chest. Do not carry the baby with its face pressed tight against the wearer of the sling.

Up until what age and weight can the Baby K’tan Baby Carrier be used?
Our Baby Carrier is tested for quality and safety for carrying 8 pound babies all the way up to toddlers 3-4 years of age (42 pounds).

Is the Baby K’tan Baby Carrier safe?
Our Baby Carrier is tested for quality and safety under FHSA (Federal Hazardous Substances Act) and ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) guidelines. Every person who uses our Baby Carrier must read the instructions and warnings before using the Baby K'tan Baby Carrier.

How do I wash and dry my Baby K’tan Baby Carrier?
The Baby K’tan Baby Carrier is 100% cotton knit and machine washable and dryer safe. Please follow these simple washing instructions:
Machine wash cold, Wash with like colors only. Use only non-chlorine bleach when needed. Tumble dry low. Make sure to wash separately before first use.

Will my Baby K’tan Baby Carrier shrink after washing?
The Baby K’tan Baby Carrier is made of 100% cotton knit. Accordingly, the carrier may shrink slightly after washing. However, the cross stretch of the cotton fabric enables our carrier to conform close to its original size. For optimal fit, wash and tumble dry.

What size Baby K’tan Baby Carrier should I buy?
Please see our sizing instructions. However, if there is a size difference between users we recommend purchasing two carriers. If you are in-between sizes, we recommend you choose the smaller size.

Can I purchase a carrier online if I live in outside of the United States?

The wide cross stretch cotton fabric can be spread over your shoulders to further distribute your baby’s weight. As your child grows older, he or she can be carried in the hip position, whereby your toddler’s weight is distributed on your hip, shoulder and back. Can my partner and I wear the same carrier?
The Baby K’tan Baby Carrier is offered in sizes XS, S, M, L and XL. Please refer to our sizing chart to determine if you and your partner can wear the same size carrier, or if it is beneficial for you to order two different size carriers. We strongly recommend that each user finds the right fit.

Customers that purchase their Baby K'tan through any retail or E-commerce store outside of the Baby K'tan website should direct their refund or exchange question to the respective entity where the carrier was purchased.
